Miss Lani brings a wide array of experience which includes 12 years of service in a variety of administrative roles at charter schools which include Interim Principal, Site Director, Director of Business and Finance, and Business and Operations Director. Miss Lani has owned and operated a family business for the past 14 years, enabling her to teach her own children aspects of entrepreneurship and business. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting from Utah Valley University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Brigham Young University. Lani loves using her skills and education in these areas of businesswith her love of working with parents, students, and teachers. Living by and exemplifying the Aloha Spirit is deeply ingrained in Miss Lani’s life. Herfavorite pastime is being around her 6 children and 15 grandchildren.

Alex Diepeveen is excited to be joining Ignite this year as the 3rd-5th grade distance learning teacher. She has a love of children and has spent many years substituting at all different grade levels so that she has an understanding of the different developmental stages. She uses this knowledge to actively engage students in learning. Alex has a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.

Diane Godfrey
Ms. Diane has been with the Ignite Distance Learning program since October 2018. She is a licensed educator and has been working in the educational field for over 20 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Utah State University and has taught Kindergarten through 6th Grade in the classroom and loves the unique differences of each age group. Ms. Diane’s favorite part of education is seeing a child light up when they explore something new to them and then apply the things they have learned with joy and excitement. She is a firm believer in choice in education and is thrilled to continue to work with and support parents in the Ignite Distance Learning program. When she is not working you might find her playing with her grandchildren, going to lunch with her grown children, cycling with her husband, hiking with her dog, or just curled up with a good book. .

Rylie Larsen

Ms. Rylie is excited to be starting another year as the Resource Librarian for the Distance Learning program. With a love for learning and a passion for education, she is thrilled to once again have the opportunity to help the Distance Learners on their own educational journeys. Ms. Rylie graduated from Brigham Young University- Idaho with a degree in English. She loves literature and believes strongly in the knowledge that can be gained from reading. Ms. Rylie is excited to be in the Lower Elementary class again this year. She is ready to help your children learn in a unique and positive environment.

Nicole Monty is excited to be spending her third year with Ignite! Miss Nicole teaches K-2 grade and loves teaching our DL "littles." Miss Nicole is engaged in her own educational journey as she pursues her Utah Educator licensure. She is excited to grow her knowledge and experience in the classroom. She is comfortable in saying she will be with Ignite for many more years. Nicole has 2 children that attend Ignite, and she is happy to be a part
of the Ignite Family as a parent, too. She loves to share her passion and excitement in teaching with her students and coworkers! .

Dawn McNiel

Dawn McNiel
Ms. Dawn graduated from Wilmington University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education K-6 double minoring in Special Education and History. She completed her Master's Degree in School Leadership from Wilmington University. She has been with Ignite Entrepreneurship Academy since it opened its doors in 2018, and taught Upper Elementary (4th-6th) and Middle School (7th-8th). Since the school's inception, she's sat on a variety of committees such as the Academic Excellence Committee, School-wide Events Committee, and the Math Task Force. She has procured grants that helped Ignite become a 1 to 1 school, one chrome for every student, and held many positions such as STEM Lead. She is currently the Digital Teaching and Learning and Professional Learning Lead. She is an activist for school reform and sits on Utah State Board of Education's Digital Teaching and Learning Advisory Committee representing Charter Schools for the state, helped develop the USBE's Portrait of a graduate, and is leading a team to reform High School's Demonstrated Competency and Credit Recovery Assessments. Ms. Dawn has a passion for virtual learning and is committed to developing a program that facilitates "anywhere, anytime learning" while teaching to the whole child through tech-free, project-based. hands-on learning.
