Keeping IEA Safe: Threat Assessment Protocol

Learn how Ignite Entrepreneurship Academy uses a research-based threat assessment process to keep students safe. Find out how to report a concern and who is on our team.

Your site applies IEA brand colors and fonts on its own, so the page should not carry its own colors. IEA's website guide (igniteutah.org/llms.txt) says color or style code gets stripped when you save. Once the page is pasted in, the site automatically adds: - Montserrat headings and Open Sans body text, in charcoal; - a divider and gold underline under each section heading; - a gold side bar on subheadings; - the "Jump to a section" links as pill buttons; - a gold highlight box for the 911 notice; - "Back to top" buttons with an up arrow. The page title and summary are plain-text fields, so they take the site's styling too. To make the brand show more, here's a version that uses the site's approved layout pieces. It adds a gold "Call the Front Office" button and puts the reporting options and commitments in card grids: ```html

At Ignite Entrepreneurship Academy, every student deserves to feel safe, known, and supported. When someone says or does something that sounds like a threat, IEA uses a process called threat assessment to understand what is happening and help everyone involved.

If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 first. Then contact the IEA front office at (801) 901-8520.

What Is a Threat Assessment?

A threat assessment is a careful, caring look at a worrying statement or behavior. Most concerns turn out to be a misunderstanding, a moment of frustration, or a joke that went too far. These are usually resolved quickly with a conversation.

When a concern is more serious, our team works with the student and family on a plan that keeps everyone safe and gets the student the support they need.

IEA uses the Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG), a research-based model used by schools across Utah. Utah State Board of Education rules require every school to use an evidence-based threat assessment process.
