Jaylene Timothy

Lead Teacher

Jaylene Timothy

Jaylene is a Southern California girl who ventured to Utah in order to attend Brigham Young University, graduating with a B.S. in Psychology. Upon graduation she served a LDS mission in Rosario, Argentina which led her to discovering her passion for teaching. After returning from Argentina, Jaylene spent 3 years as the education director for Learning Through Robotics, where she coordinated STEM-based robotics programs for both the Nebo and Alpine school districts, providing children a hands-on approach to programming and applied math. Following LTR, she worked 2 years as a registered behavior technician at Utah Autism Academy. Jaylene fell in love with the kids there, aiding them in learning greater communication and life skills through ABA therapy. When she's not on the clock you can easily find Jaylene playing soccer, hiking, traveling or working on stained glass grouted mosaics- Jaysaics!

Krysta Morrison

Lead Teacher

Krysta Morrison

Ms. Krysta attended school in Fort Collins, Colorado. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University. Then earned her Master of Education from California State University. Her philosophy of education stems from the belief that education should stress the mastery of reading, writing, arithmetic, critical thinking, biological/earth sciences, and Western History in order to become a strong contributing member of American society. She feels that this can not happen without understanding the individual child’s needs and building on a child’s prior knowledge. She strongly believes the role of a teacher is to facilitate a student’s access to learning and knowledge which is why Ignite Academy is the perfect fit.

Shanna Bowles

Lead Teacher

Shanna Bowles

Ms. Shanna has wanted to be a teacher since she was in 6th grade. She had so many inspiring educators growing up, she wanted to do the same thing for future generations. Ms. Shanna attended Brigham Young University in Idaho and received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She taught for two years in a public tradition school as a 6th grade teacher in Idaho Falls, and then moved to Utah to discover her love for Montessori education.  She taught for two years at a Montessori school in upper elementary and then took a year off to be a mom to her first daughter. She then returned to teaching at another traditional school as a 5th grade teacher, but quickly discovered that the Montessori method is her preferred way of teaching.
Ms. Shanna loves arts and crafts, dancing, swimming, reading, kickboxing, and spending time with her family. She is so excited to start her new adventure at Ignite Entrepreneurship Academy!
